About Us

How About Some Marketing? is a growing marketing education platform and community. We run monthly webinars with industry experts, share tools and resources, and actively build conversation across platforms like Reddit, LinkedIn, Instagram, Discord, and more.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a social, reliable, and communication-focused person to take ownership of our brand’s presence across multiple platforms. As our Social Media & Community Manager, you’ll help us post regularly, engage with followers, grow our communities, and keep our tone consistent and human.
This is a volunteer role. It’s ideal for someone looking to build experience, strengthen their portfolio, and work closely with a real team on real projects.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Social Media
  • Plan, write, and schedule posts for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Repurpose webinar clips, quotes, and insights into social content
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and design across platforms
  • Monitor trends and adapt content to increase visibility and engagement
  • Use tools like Meta Business Suite or platform schedulers
Community Management
  • Manage and grow our communities on Reddit, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, and WhatsApp
  • Moderate discussions, respond to questions, and keep conversation flowing
  • Reply to DMs, comments, mentions, and re-shares across channels
  • Encourage user engagement and peer interaction
  • Help enforce respectful and inclusive community behavior

Tools You Might Use

  • Canva, CapCut (graphics)
  • ClickUp (task management)
  • Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Slack, Discord, WhatsApp (platforms)

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent written English — clear, natural, typo-free
  • Comfortable managing multiple platforms and social tools
  • Strong communicator who enjoys engaging online and keeping conversations alive
  • Organized, consistent, and follows through on responsibilities
  • Interest in digital marketing, community building, or brand development
